Most actors especially when they are still new have a certain vulnerability and can be taken advantage very quickly by someone who they come to trust over a period of time. As an example I know of situation where a well established acting school which charged a large sum of money per year, especially foreign students, would tell acting students even after they have been attending the school for more than 2 years they were not ready yet to audition for roles. This was only one situation I observed myself but found it to be quite common among actors who train with the same person regularly. For most actors in this situation there is a comfort zone developed where the actor places total trust in this individual. The fact is even if the Teacher is fantastic and can develop the actors craft, it is dangerous to become involved in this type of relationship. It is always a smart move to work with several
